How to avoid failure of butterfly valve during use

Butterfly valve is a widely used valve, which originated in the 1930s. Butterfly valve is a 90 degree switch or a valve for regulating flow. Due to its simple structure, small volume, light weight and simple operation, butterfly valve can be applied in many working conditions. Butterfly valves can be connected by flange connection, wafer connection, welding connection, etc. different materials can also be selected according to different working conditions. Butterfly valves can be made of cast iron, cast steel, stainless steel, etc. Of course, there will inevitably be failures in the use process, so how should we try to avoid failures in the use of butterfly valves?

1. Before installation, confirm whether the product performance and medium flow direction arrow of the factory are consistent with the moving conditions, and clean the inner cavity of the valve. It is not allowed to have impurities on the sealing ring and butterfly plate. It is not allowed to close the butterfly plate before cleaning to avoid damaging the sealing ring.

2. It is recommended to adopt the special flange for butterfly valve, i.e. hgj54-91 socket welded steel flange, as shown in Figure 3

3. For the position installed in the pipeline, zui the preferred position is vertical installation, but it cannot be upside down.

4. In use, the flow needs to be adjusted and controlled by worm gear box.

5. For butterfly valves with more opening and closing times, open the worm gear box cover in about two months, check whether the butter is normal, and keep an appropriate amount of butter.

6. Check that all connecting parts are required to be compressed, which not only ensures the tightness of the packing, but also ensures the flexible rotation of the valve rod.

7. Metal sealed butterfly valve products are not suitable for installation at the end of the pipeline. If they need to be installed at the end of the pipeline, they need to be equipped with outlet flange to prevent backlog and over position of sealing rings.

8. Response to valve stem installation and use, regularly check the use effect of the valve, and eliminate the faults in time.
